Watch the order first
The guide animates each stroke from the point the pen goes down. In Devanagari the bar across the top comes last — almost every beginner draws it first — and in Urdu the body comes before the dots.

Trace it
With a finger, a stylus or a mouse. Draw anywhere on the pad at any size; what is compared is the shape and the order, not where on the screen you put it.

Find out which stroke was wrong
Each stroke is scored separately, and a stroke drawn backwards is named as backwards rather than buried in an average. The alphabet grid fills in as letters reach a pass, so you can see how far through you are.
What it will not do
The reference skeletons are hand-authored and schematic — they teach order and direction, which is what the score measures. For the shape of the letter itself, the page shows the real glyph in its own typeface, and that is what to copy.
Who it is for
Anyone who can sound out a script but cannot write it, which is the usual place to get stuck.
